What are you studying?

Accounting/Logistics and supply management.

Why did you want to become a CA Student Rep?

Being a very outgoing person who loves to experience new things, as well as constantly improve and develop myself. I felt this opportunity to become a figure of influence on behalf of CA by developing my public speaking skills and network with many industry figures that I look up to for their skills and work ethic.

More importantly on developing myself, I strongly felt that the way I connected deeper with people could be definitely improved skill wise. This opportunity with CA would give me these skills and teach me how to take my public speaking skills to the next level, in a way that would further embrace and embody my personality.

How would your friends, family or a colleague describe you?

The people close to me in my life would describe me as a passionate, loyal, hardworking and grateful person that aims not to be better then everyone around him. But make everyone the best person they can be and give a helping hand to anyone in need who is close to my heart.

If you had any advice for your fellow students about tackling university or preparing for the 'real' world, what would it be?

Don't freak out and don't underestimate it, good planning and effort will bring results in any aspect of your life as long as you are able to still enjoy your passions and non career related aspects of your life.

What do you wish other people knew about studying business/accounting?

Don't believe the stereotypes, there is much more to business and the financial world then meets the eye!

What would you tell someone who is thinking about studying business/accounting?

Always follow something that you enjoy and can think of as something that creates energy within you, rather then drain energy from you and making you feel that your job is something that you only care about 9-5.
