For the first time in 2017 the Chartered Accountants ANZ Achiever Programme was run across Australia and New Zealand giving tertiary accounting students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the industry during their summer vacation period.
188 students were successfully placed with 130 employers giving them the opportunity to get paid industry experience ranging from 1 - 12 weeks between November and March. A portion of these students may even go on to continue with the employer after their placement has finished in a vacation or grad role.
The successful students went through an application process is similar to many employer graduate recruitment programmes including an online application form, interactive cognitive testing, a short video submission, attending an assessment centre or phone interview and a one on one interview to meet a potential employer.
If you missed it and want to know what the Achiever Programme is like, photos of the assessment centres and welcome events can be found on our facebook page.
Application dates for the 2018 Chartered Accountants ANZ Achiever Programme are being considered and more information will be available in 2018.
